3-31 BUGS AT WICHITA, GAME 1 (W, 3-2 in overtime. Bugs take 1-0 series lead)

COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BUGS TEAM IN SECOND
Their legs look like their back.
The Mudbugs had prime opportunity midway through the period with a 4-on-3 power play advantage. Laplante made some great stops – without rebounds – during the 4-on-3, but Mudbugs defenseman Dale Lupul made it 2-1 with an absolute cannon from just inside the blue line after the advantage had moved to 5-on-4 for Bossier-Shreveport.
Bossier-Shreveport is outshooting Wichita 11-4 in the second period.
TIME: 8:24 p.m.

STILL 2-0, BUT BUGS ARE ON THEIR HEELS
Sebastein Laplante has given up zero rebounds in the first period, but every shot the Thunder take seems to ricochet out into the slot.
This game could get very ugly if this continues.
TIME: 7:32 p.m.

WICHITA ROCKING AND ROLLING ALREADY
Kris Wiebe scroed two goals in the first seven minutes of the first period and are all over the Mudbugs.
I mentioned on the air with Steve Mears that Mudbugs goaltender David Cacciola needed a strong start to this series because Ken Carroll is not available.
It's not all his fault by any means. But the Bugs need to clear out some rebounds.
TIME: 7:19 p.m.

Here we are ... it's playoff time!
