CRUCIAL POWER-PLAY CHANCE LOOMS FOR BUGS
And it goes down in flames. 0-8 on the night.

WELL MAYBE THIS IS THE PLACE THE BUGS WANT TO BE
Bossier-Shreveport trails 2-0 entering the final period. It's the first time all season the Mudbugs have trailed entering the third. Perhaps this is what they need to get a victory.
However, the more likely scenario says this could finally be a night the Mudbugs get outplayed and lose. You can't outperform your competition every night, and when you throw away victories like the Mudbugs have in the first two weeks, those points are impossible to get back.

RIVERKINGS SCORE TWICE QUICKLY
The RiverKings opened the scoring early in the second period on the power play. Aaron Davis had an open net after a shot from teammate Chad Woollard deflected to his stick at the right side of the crease.
Mississippi made it 2-0 quickly with a 5-on-3 goal by Woollard. The veteran was parked at Carroll’s doorstep and easily cashed in on a cross-crease pass. The Mudbugs’ goaltender had no opportunity to stop the puck.

SCORELESS AFTER ONE; CARBON COPY OF FIRST 5 GAMES
The Mudbugs are outplaying their opponents, again. It's scoreless after the first period. Let's hope the hard work is the only thing that ends up being the same tonight.

ZIP-ZIP EARLY; BUGS CONTROL FLOW
The Mudbugs are outshooting the RiverKings 8-1 midway through the first period.

IT'S FILLING IN LATE
The attendance isn't tremendous by any stretch, but people have arrived late.

THE DISAPPOINTMENT AT THE GATE CONTINUES
Maybe it's the 0-4-1 record.
Perhaps it's the Evangel-Calvary game or the rest of the Week 10 high school football slate.
Or maybe folks are on their way to Tuscaloosa for the LSU-Alabama game.
Whatever the case may be, there is NO ONE here tonight.
Not for a Friday.
20 minutes before the drop of the puck I'm guessing 1,200?

KEN CARROLL GETS THE START; VODRAZKA WAIVED
Goaltender Ken Carroll gets the start for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs tonight as they host the Mississippi RiverKings at CenturyTel Center.
In order to welcome Jason Basile to the active roster, the Mudbugs released forward Milan Vodrazka, who played parts of three seasons in Bossier City.
