12-17 BUGS vs. FORT WORTH (W, 5-0)

BIG WIN
It's not always about if you win, but how you win. Look for more commentary about why tonight's victory was bigger than just two points.
TIME: 10:57 p.m.

BRASS MONKEY IS HISTORY
Chris Brassard scored his first goal of the season midway through the third period to give Bossier-Shreveport a 3-0 lead. Finally, maybe people will shut up about not being able to play anymore. The guy had a goal and two assists Saturday and has 15 points in 20 games this year.
TIME: 9:18 p.m.

NIGHT AND DAY
The Mudbugs came out a different team in the second period Saturday. With 20 shots on goal and two power-play goals, Bossier-Shreveport took a 2-0 lead. Will be interesting to see if the Mudbugs go for the juggular in the third. They need to.
TIME: 8:40 p.m.

MANITOWICH SCORES ON PP
Ryan Manitowich gives the Mudbugs a 1-0 lead with a power-play tally 6 minutes in.
TIME: 8:19 p.m.

POWER PLAY IS POWERLESS
At this point, the Mudbugs can not even set up shop in the opponent's zone during a 5-on-3. Fort Worth is now even on shots 7-7, despite not getting a shot on goal until 6:14 left in the period.
That was one disappointing, boring period of hockey.
TIME: 7:41 p.m.

HE SHOOTS AND, WELL, HE SHOOTS
Fort Worth's Bret Dececco sent a slap shot toward Mudbugs goalie Ken Carroll with 6:14 left in the first period. It was Fort Worth's first of the game!
TIME: 7:31 p.m.

WAKE ME UP BEFORE I GO GO
We're 12 minutes into the game and the Brahmas don't have a shot on goal. The Mudbugs have five, but they aren't playing much better.
Mudbugs about to go on second power play.
TIME: 7:24 p.m.

CARROLL VS. STERLING PART II
The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will try to regroup after a win (don't get to say that often) as they host the Fort Worth Brahmas again tonight at the CenturyTel Center.
TIME: 7:23 p.m.
