11-12 BUGS at FORT WORTH (L, 2-0)

BUGS LOSE 2-0
Another loss by Bossier-Shreveport tonight. I'm on my way back to Shreveport and will update the blog for you folks who get up early. Talked to head coach Scott Muscutt, who was very upbeat after the loss to Fort Worth. He believes a breakout is on the horizon.

REFEREE LIKE IT'S 1999
Steve Cruickshank is calling this game like it's last season. Clearly, he didn't get the league memo on the idea to reduce clutching and grabbing. Like always, he's calling a fair game, but this is definitely not the style the Central Hockey League had in mind for this season. The teams have combined for 34 shots in the first two periods.

BRAHMAS SHOOT THEIR WAY TO ANOTHER GOAL
Cory Stillman deflected a Matt Coughlin shot past Andrew Martin and the Brahmas have taken a 2-0 lead. The goal is Fort Worth's second off a deflection. Andrew Martin has stopped every shot he's actually seen so far tonight.
See what happens when you put the puck toward the net?

BUGS COME OUT STRONG IN THE 2ND
Bossier-Shreveport spent much of the first period in its own zone, and watched Fort Worth take a 1-0 lead. To start the second period, the Mudbugs had some jump and have yet to allow a shot on goal to Fort Worth in the first 6 minutes of the middle period.
TIME: 8:47 p.m.

BRAHMAS OPEN THE SCORING
David Silverstone, who scored twice in the last meeting here, scored the first goal of Saturday's contest on a deflection.

TECH GAME DELAYS MUDBUGS RADIO
Louisiana Tech and Idaho are going on a four-hour game, therefore the Mudbugs game is not on the radio yet.
TIME: 7:52 p.m.

HUGE CROWD AT FORT WORTH
The Fort Worth Convention Center is packed as the Mudbugs and Brahmas drop the puck at 7:45 p.m.

HE HAS ARRIVED!!!The Mudbugs have been waiting for this kid, well now he's here. David Cacciola arrived in Fort Worth on Saturday to become a member of the Mudbugs. The Massachusetts goaltender is expected to compete for the backup spot in goal behind Ken Carroll.
Cacciola, 23, would have been here earlier, but he was nabbed by the New Jersey Devils and sent to Albany of the AHL after an injury to Martin Brodeur sent ripple effects through the Devils organization.
Andrew Martin will make his second straight start in net for the Mudbugs.
TIME: 6:50 p.m.

MUDBUGS BOOSTER CLUB PRESIDENT LOVES PINK
Brad Dennis was last seen at Mi Cocina drinking a pink beverage of some kind moments before the Mudbugs game with Fort Worth

I'm sure Brad Dennis had that beverage served to him and was drinking it to be polite. Normally Brad would never drink anything pink. SAY IT AIN'T SO BRAD!

Brad Dennis is not the present Boilers Club president. That would be Kevin Waldrop. Not sure if Kevin partakes of pink beverages.
